10% SDS	Table of Contents

10% SDS - 1 liter

• Dissolve 100g sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS, Mw=288.38) in 900ml ddH₂O.
• Heat to 68 ^oC to solute the crystals.
• Adjust pH to 7.2 with HCL (~50µl).
• Adjust volume to 1 liter with ddH₂O.
• Divide into aliquots.
• Store at room temperature.

Note: wear a mask when weighing SDS and clean the weighing area after use.When SDS crystals precipitate (usually due to cold temperature), redissolve by warming the solution at 37 ^oC.
